breakfree

Maybe we all have the desire to break free from the grid but are just too afraid to stand up and say it.

The Adventures of Mr Flag at T in The Park 2005

T in The Park, 2005 kicked off with the sun high in the sky and the clouds on vacation. My sis and I started the day by sunning ourselves in the delightfully cheerful Costa Del Campsite. We entertained ourselves for hours sipping fine wine and scoffing strawberries in our shabby-chic accomodation for the weekend - The Tent.

And so we set off into the arena with our good old buddy in tow - Mr Flag. A born-and-bred Scot, Mr Flag is made up of the finest cloth whilst sporting the Rampant Lion and that old classic, The Saltire. Mr Flag has many uses, for example letting lost friends know of your whereabouts. Just wave that flag high and see the lost friends flock to your side in an instant. Who needs mobile phones?!

It takes a lot of muscle and concentration to fly Mr Flag...usually this task was appointed to Mr Lindsay, offical guardian of Mr Flag.

Mr Flag meets The Big Wheel during the day...Many a time, The Big Wheel had been used as a meeting point, but without Mr Flag, it was proving hard to spot familiar bodies amongst unfamiliar bodies. Not a problem with Mr Flag in tow, even in the dark.

Mr Flag meets The Dance Tent. He spent hours here waving with all the other crazy flags, and was definitley the funkiest dancer. The moves he pulled off were truly phenonenal.

Mr Flag meets The Silent Disco...and what a crazy time he had there. The only flag flying in this little hush-hut, but he didn't care. He couldn't hear the music either as they wouldn't give him headphones but he didn't care about that either!

No...we don't actually know these people. Yep, you've guessed it, they just wanted a piece of Mr Flag. Everywhere we went people just loved Mr Flag. Incredible.

Look...Billie Joe Armstrong doing a cartwheel...aw damn it Mr Flag! Oh well, guess he can't help wanting to get the best possible view of the ever-wonderful Greenday...

Mr Flag back in his resting place...unfortunately he is not available for private bookings, but you might - just might - spot him in Dundee this weekend at the Radio1 gig...here's hoping. Until next time, Mr Flag bids you good day.

Meet Mr and Mrs Egg

Hi we are Mr and Mrs Egg, better known as Mrs Mackie and Mr Punk.

As you can see Mr Punk is a true rocker, complete with black spiky do - true punk-rock style. He is also sporting a devil-red outfit, and big crazy eyes because he is just sooo mental-crazy.

Mrs Mackie is a dear old biddy who has a rather fetching starry hat, modestly hiding all that straggly grey hair underneath...really Mrs Mackie, haven't you ever heard of a brush?! She looks rather glum, possibly because Mr Punk has a better hair do than her.

Mrs Mackie created by Nicole (2) and Mr Punk hand crafted by Connor (8). What talented little sproggers indeed.
